A few months ago Nintendo told everyone that the NX will be released in March of 2017. And that was all the information we got. Many expected the NX to be unveiled at E3, or at least talked about by Nintendo, but no.
This led many to worry that the NX might not be ready for launch next March. But Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has put those worries to rest during a shareholder meeting: he confirmed that the NX will launch in March 2017. And he added that it will be a global launch.
And he revealed why Nintendo didn’t reveal the NX at E3: apparently they were too worried about others copying their ideas. Which is in line with what Shigeru Miyamoto recently said: they are not talking about the NX because of a “secret idea”.
Many are expecting the NX to be revealed at September at the Tokyo Game Show.
