Sports Connection Wii U

Sports Connection for the Wii U is a party game that features several sports-based mini games such as soccer, baseball, tennis, go kart, and more. Sports Connection Wii U is developed by Ubisoft and is exclusive to Nintendo’s new console. It will be released in Fall 2012, likely as a launch title. The title is inspired by the original Wii Sports, and features some of the same mini games and a very similar visual style.

Sports Connection Wii U features and mini games

Sports Connection Wii U
Sports Connection on the Wii U is based around the familiar “party-game” concept, which focuses on offline multiplayer between two or more players. However, the game does support one player playing against an AI opponent. Players will be split up into one who controls the Wii U GamePad, while the other plays with a regular Wiimote. The player with the GamePad will have obvious advantages, depending on the mini games. For instance, in baseball, the GamePad player will use the tablet screen to throw a ball and curve it, while it’s up to the other player to swing with the Wiimote. If he hits the ball, the GamePad player must catch the ball with the tablet controller in order to win. Here is the full list of Sports Connection Wii U mini games:

  • Tennis
  • Soccer
  • Football (American football)
  • Golf
  • Go kart racing
